Will My Extraction Hurt?

Modern anesthesia and gentle techniques mean most patients feel pressure — not pain.

We apply topical numbing before any injection. Most patients are surprised by how little they feel.

During: Pressure, Not Pain

Our gentle technique means you feel pressure and movement — not sharp pain. Tell us anytime if you need more comfort.

After: Clear Recovery Plan

We send you home with simple aftercare instructions and are available if you have any questions.

Is It Time?

When a Tooth Extraction Makes Sense

A tooth can often be saved—but when it can't, a timely extraction protects your health and ends the pain. Here are the most common reasons our patients come in.

Broken or Cracked Tooth

An injury or crack below the gum line may leave extraction as the safest option to prevent ongoing pain.

Infection or Abscess

A painful, throbbing infection that can't be treated with a root canal often requires extraction to protect surrounding teeth.

Wisdom Teeth

Impacted or crowded wisdom teeth can cause pain, swelling, and shifting. Timely removal prevents future problems.

Emergency Pain

In sudden, severe cases we offer same-day emergency extractions to relieve your pain fast—call us right away.

Common Questions

Answers to Put You at Ease

Will my extraction hurt?

Most patients are surprised by how comfortable the procedure is. We use modern anesthesia and gentle techniques so you feel pressure — not pain. If you feel anything sharp at any point, just let us know and we'll add more numbing.

How much does a tooth extraction cost?

We offer a $59 New Patient Exam so we can assess your situation and give you an exact cost before any treatment. Most PPO insurance plans are accepted, and CareCredit financing is available.

Can you see me today?

Yes. We reserve same-day slots for patients in pain every single day. Call us and we'll do our best to get you in immediately.

How long does the procedure take?

Most simple extractions take 20–45 minutes from numbing to completion. You'll be in and out the same day.

Can I drive myself home afterward?

For simple extractions with local anesthesia, most patients can drive themselves home. If sedation is used, you'll need a driver. We'll confirm this at your appointment.

What if my tooth is infected?

We treat infected teeth regularly. We'll assess the infection and discuss the safest treatment plan. Don't wait — infections can worsen quickly.

Tooth pain that's ignored rarely goes away on its own. Infections can spread and treatment becomes more complex over time. The sooner you call, the simpler — and less expensive — the solution.
